Turkey bone broth (unsalted, for making gravy)

A clear broth made with local pastured turkey backs, pastured chicken feet, spring water, organic vegetables and fresh herbs (carrot, celery, thyme, bay leaves), organic raw apple cider vinegar, and Himalayan pink salt.

Our turkey broth is simmered for four hours in stainless steel pressure cookers. Once thawed, turkey broth has a shelf life of seven days.

Unlike our other broths, this broth is unsalted so you can add it to hot drippings to make a reduction gravy. One quart combined with pan drippings, boiled until thickened, and then whisked with sour cream will make a modest amount of gravy for a family of four (two adults and two small children). If you are dairy-free you will need an extra pint of broth to make this amount. We also recommend using arrowroot powder to make gravy; gravy thickened with arrowroot does not reheat well which is why we cannot offer this item.
